Looking for more than the standard itinerary? Our custom-tailored trips are for travelers who want a completely unique experience, a new perspective — and some incredible stories to tell. For over ten years, our tours have highlighted the unique cultures of this dynamic region, providing access to people, cuisine, sites, and activities most travelers miss. Each tour is uniquely designed, with your input and our recommendations, organized with an unparalleled attention to detail, and lead by the most experienced, talented professionals available. The result? A more personal, entirely uncommon, and ultimately more satisfying travel experience. Here are a few highlights of where to go, what to do and see.

Festival
Join us for Tet: the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. Welcome the Year of the Rooster during the unique, week-long cultural festivities of Tet. This is our most popular tour and can be combined with Halong Bay and a visit to Angkor (early booking recommended). Departs January or February every year.

Angkor
The incomparable Khmer temples of Angkor. The most stunning, well-preserved concentration of stone ruins in the world — on an unimaginable scale. Now only a one-hour flight from Saigon. Offered year-around.

Custom Tours
Combine these trips or have us design one for you. Most of our tours are private, custom tours, from high-adventure to specific cultural-interest, such as a culinary focus — all at about the same cost of a group trip.

Sapa
The "Tonkinese Alps" high long Vietnam's northern border with China is home to a multitude of hilltribes and some of the most dramatic scenery in Vietnam. A luxury sleeper train car from Hanoi is part of the experience. Options for cycling and trekking.

Arts
Vietnamese art has become popular internationally and many native artists have successfully presented their works in overseas galleries and exhibitions. During this period of rebuilding, the art industry in Vietnam presents a wonderful opportunity to access artists on a very personal level.

Halong Bay
Cruise or kayak the calm, emerald waters through caves into hidden lakes and white-sand beach coves — your small kayak gliding beneath the towering limestone peaks. The calm waters are great for beginners.

The People
Toss the guidebook. The most exceptional aspect of travel in Vietnam is the people encountered along the way. We plan (and allow for not-so-planned) home visits, shared meals, even home stays.
Idyllic Coast
Mui Ne, Cua Dai, Nha Trang — beaches wonderful for relaxing, but there is also rugged coastal scenery as picturesque as Big Sur.
Vivid Landscapes
A dozen shades of green at every turn fronting over a thousand miles of coastline.

Magnificent Accommodation
Vietnam has caught up quickly. Most hotels are newly remodeled or built including the world-class Ana Mandara in Nha Trang (above).
Exceptional Cuisine
Refrigerators are few in Vietnam, everything is fresh from the field and out of the water. With a wide variety of regional specialties, French, and fabulous fusion.
Post-tour R & R
Your trip completed, a well-deserved rest is order. We recommend a side-trip to Phuket (above) or other nearby beaches to recover before returning home.
